19-01-12 through ....

We left Jekyll Island with great memories, and proceeded down the IntraCoastal.  We ended up docking at Amelia Island Marina.

After an unexciting borrowed-car trip to Fernandina Beach for Happy Hour, we spent a quiet evening on Zingara.

We got up early, and continued down to Jacksonville!  Finally!   We'll be staying here for a week.  Rick wants to do some painting and varnishing, plus we need to have the propeller replaced.   Also, we heard that this mariana is supposed to be one of the best --- with a swimming pool, etc.  This sounds so great!  Can't wait!

And, thankfully, The Marina at Ortega Landing is everything that was promised!
After a great night's rest, Rick got up to organize his game plan.   Although Zingara has a small washer & dryer on her, the Marina supplies free laundry, so I took advantage of the luxury.
While waiting for the washing machine to cycle, I HAD to sit out by the pool!

Working hard, doing laundry.

January 17th --- new propeller day. It's repaired, painted, and ready for installation

Here come the divers, down the dock, with all their gear.

So, how exactly are we going to do this?

Due to a few complications (weather, cold temperatures not good for varnishing/painting,etc.) we are still here.  We've been enjoying our stay, but we're getting a bit antsy. We rented a car, ---- ooooo, an Impala!
and enjoyed some of the local restaurants  (the Boiling Crawfish!) and (Bold City) breweries.

And I missed the Lunar Eclipse completely!   I went to bed, and fell asleep!
