First of all --- Welcome to the world, our new great-nephew, Ouray Gurnnison Fitt!
I’m so glad your arrival went as smoothly as our departure!
We spent the last few days, saying good-bye to family, and our JBM friends --
Rick will miss the Wednesday night races, music and camaraderie on Captain Rick’s My Way II ,
the impromptu sails on Jesse’s boat Betty Lou, the dockside grilling with Laura & Josh, and the drive-by Stop & Waves from the Long(atudes)!
Rick has completed most of his engine/generator repairs, had our Flying-bridge-cover stitched up, and has primed/painted the wooden trim around all the windows.
To prepare for the 3+weeks in Canada, I’ve bought lots of beer, 3+ boxes of Wheat Chex, paper supplies, and as much food as our little freezer/storage cabinets can hold. I’m looking forward to visiting the fresh produce markets in the little towns along our travels, but wanted to get the staples purchased/stowed.
So, around 11:00 AM, we left Jefferson Beach Marina and headed north to Port Huron.
After a wonderful dinner at Lynch’s Irish Tavern, we went to bed early, to get ready for our next leg of our adventure.
